These images are based on very old Moroccan tile, fabric and rug patterns.  While visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York, I loved their newly-refurbished Islamic Art gallery and have been working on my own versions and variations ever since!

Many are repeating patterns, some are designed to be used as rugs…contemporary versions of the age old arts in Morocco.
